Horses:Humphrey Bogart/Tony Curtis
HUMPHREY BOGART started his 2017 in a very different environment to his 2016 Derby heroics at a tendon specialist rehabilitation centre in Kent under the guidance of Dr David Chapman Jones, who brings a fresh approach to this age old problem for racehorses. Having made a full recovery, we are looking forward to a hurdles as well as possible flat campaign during the 2018 season under the care of Nicky Henderson.
TONY CURTIS made his 2017 debut in the Festival stakes (listed race) at Goodwood after a seven month break. It was soon noted that he just isn’t a horse that likes to run in often tactical small field affairs as he has such a high cruising speed. He then went onto run great races in two very valuable heritage handicaps – The Bunbury Cup at Newmarkets July meeting and the Betfred Mile at Glorious Goodwood finishing fourth and second respectively. The form of Tony Curtis’ Betfred Mile run bodes well with the winner (Master of the World) subsequently going on to win the Group 3 Winter Derby. We are extremely excited for his prospects during the 2018 season.
